Karol’s journey from a small town in Colombia to becoming a successful lawyer in the U.S. and founder of TRAUM is a story of resilience, determination, and belief in the power of dreams. Arriving in the U.S. as a teenager with limited English skills and no financial support, Karol faced numerous challenges. To support herself, she managed to work and study full-time, determined to master the language, complete her degrees, and pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.

During her toughest moments, fragrances provided comfort and strength, evoking memories of home and helping her stay focused on her goals. Her journey took an even more challenging turn when complications from a failed surgery nearly cost her life while she was completing her master’s degree. Even from her hospital bed, Karol continued studying for her final exams, and against all odds, she succeeded, proving that nothing could stand in the way of her dreams.

In 2024, Karol founded TRAUM Fragrances, LLC, a luxury candle brand inspired by her personal connection to fragrances and her love for ceramics. TRAUM’s scents are expertly crafted to evoke memories and inspire others to pursue their dreams, just as Karol did. With each candle, TRAUM offers more than just a product—it’s an experience that empowers individuals to create spaces where they can relax, recharge, and move confidently toward their aspirations.
